About the lessons
We offer two paths for those who wish to learn this fascinating rhythmic art:
1-. Traditional Konnakkol:
Follow a structured path guided by the rules and aesthetics that have shaped this ancient tradition. This approach allows students to immerse themselves in the authentic practice of Konnakkol and, if they wish, progress to studying with Sri BR Somashekar Jois, one of the foremost exponents of this art. This step is optional and entirely up to the student.
2-. Konnakkol as a Musical Tool:
Explore traditional foundations and apply them to your own music or across various musical styles, unlocking new creative possibilities.
* Both approaches are available in our group courses and are especially relevant in individual lessons, where we tailor the learning experience to your interests and goals.
